Denuci (de-nu-chee), an Italian nickname for a Louisiana girl of French & Spanish heritage. A creole! 

I grew up loving rocks in Louisiana, a place where you saw oyster shells in driveways instead of gravel! I had to search for my rocks so they became treasures to me. 

My first encounter with creating jewelry was in the fine arts department of Louisiana State University, but my studies were in Interior Design. The use of color and its many combinations is what draws me to both of these fields.

The stones in my hands – the hard, cold, rough, smooth, faceted, iridescent, smoky, vivid, subtle – it all excites and inspires me to create! My desire is for each piece to be interesting, comfortable,  long lasting with proper care and enhance the beauty of each woman wearing it through color, shape, form & style. I have been creating my Denuci jewelry since 1999 and have made over 1500 individual pieces in that time.  The jewelry has evolved over the years with the availability of new supplies, inspiration from fashion and my desire to design.  I hope you enjoy wearing my jewelry as much as I have enjoyed creating it!  Your jewelry comes gift wrapped in an organza bag.
